Season May Be Over for Sun Rays Seanez
Wednesday, May 17th, 1995
Orlando reliever Rudy Seanez could miss the remainder of the season because of a ruptured bicep tendon. He exited yesterday's Texas game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Seanez would be out 6-7 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
Seanez has taken the mound for 14 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 0-5 record with a 5.09 ERA. The Orlando reliever has limited opposing batters to a .188 batting average.
