There will be no World Series parade in New York. The New York Mets today were officially eliminated from postseason contention.

New York last appeared in the postseason in 1995. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 14 times in their 21-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Mets have missed the playoffs 8 times.
