Brown Gets September's Top Pitcher Trophy Wednesday, October 1st, 1997 Kevin Brown's been around the league long enough to appreciate the honor he received today. After going 5-0 in September, the 32-year-old Kansas City hurler has been named Federal League Pitcher of the Month. He fanned 35 in 43.2 innings, logged an ERA of 1.24 and allowed opponents to hit .151 against him. In 33 starts this year Brown has posted 22 wins while suffering 7 losses. He has pitched 262 innings, allowed 197 hits, struck out 253 and has a 2.58 ERA. |
