More Injury Problems For Toronto's Dana Kiecker

Dana Kiecker is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for a strained abdominal muscle. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Blue Jays sent the 34-year-old closer back to the doctors for reexamination. Kiecker told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Kiecker will now miss a minimum of 6 days.
His season stats show Kiecker has 4 saves in 28 relief appearances with a 0-2 mark and 3.59 ERA.
