Oakland-Los Angeles Trade: Anderson for Briley Wednesday, July 12th, 1995 Sometimes a change of scenery can be a beneficial to a baseball player. That is the hope in Oakland and Los Angeles as the teams came to an agreement today which sends 31-year-old minor league LF Brady Anderson to the Dodgers and 25-year-old minor league 1B Derrick White and 30-year-old LF Greg Briley to the Athletics. "Only time will tell if this is the right move for everyone," stated the Los Angeles GM. This year Anderson is batting .186 with 1 home run. This season Briley is hitting at a .193 pace with 1 home run, 10 RBIs and has scored 7 times. |
