White Wins UL Player of the Week Trophy
Monday, July 24th, 1995
It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the United League, but last week Rondell White of the San Francisco Giants reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. White rocked opposing pitching for a .409 average (9-for-22), 2 home runs and 4 RBIs to come away with the award.
Looking at his present stats, White has compiled a .282 batting average in 95 games with a .325 on-base percentage, while hitting 16 home runs and driving in 52 runs.
