Pittsburgh Trades Jordan for San Diego's Simms Tuesday, July 25th, 1995 The rumor has been out there for a while now and today it was made official. The Pittsburgh Pirates have sent 30-year-old minor league 1B Ricky Jordan to the San Diego Padres for 28-year-old 1B Mike Simms. This year Jordan is hitting .250 with 2 home runs and 4 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .294 clip and scored 3 runs. So far this year Simms is hitting .185 with 6 home runs. |
