New York-Detroit Trade: Morgan for Garrelts Tuesday, July 25th, 1995 Signed ... sealed ... and delivered. New York has worked out terms of a deal to send 35-year-old RHP Mike Morgan to Detroit for 33-year-old RHP Scott Garrelts. Both teams expect to introduce their new players at press conferences later in the week. This year Morgan has a 13-5 record and a 4.02 ERA. Garrelts has gone 7-6 this season with an ERA of 2.72 and 121 strikeouts in 148.2 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .211 against him. |
