San Francisco, Detroit Agree to Swap Tuesday, July 25th, 1995 The San Francisco Giants swapped 27-year-old minor league 2B Alex Arias for 29-year-old 2B Carlos Quintana of the Tigers after what Detroit officials would only characterize as "difficult" negotiations. A check of his lifetime stats shows Arias has a career .194 average with 108 hits, 19 doubles, 3 triples, 3 home runs and 47 RBIs. To date he has scored 44 runs, walked 45 times and stolen 0 bases. For the season Quintana is hitting .245, batted in 22 runs with 4 home runs and 36 runs scored. |
