Boston Red Sox Ship Best to Washington Monday, July 31st, 1995 A trade between Boston and Washington was made official this morning. The Red Sox have sent 36-year-old RHP Karl Best to the Senators in exchange for 23-year-old minor league LHP Gabe White. This season Best has been credited with 18 saves. In 30 relief appearances and 28 innings pitched he has a 1-2 won-lost mark, 1.61 ERA and 22 strikeouts |
