Kansas City-Orlando Trade: Clark for Beck

The Royals and Sun Rays confirmed this afternoon that a trade had been agreed upon. In the deal, Kansas City will get 26-year-old RHP Rod Beck, while Orlando will receive 27-year-old minor league 1B Phil B. Clark.


Clark is hitting .247 lifetime with 448 hits, 85 doubles, 3 triples, 66 home runs and 217 RBIs to date. He has scored 203 runs, walked 72 times and has a .289 OBP.

Thus far this year Beck has picked up 14 saves. He has also compiled a 3-6 won-lost mark with a 7.34 ERA and in 30.2 innings fanned 31.
