Toronto, Oakland Deal Made Monday, July 31st, 1995 After a week of negotiations, the Blue Jays and Athletics have come to terms on a deal that will send 28-year-old LHP Dean Hartgraves to Oakland for 39-year-old RHP Jay Howell. This season Howell has recorded a 2-3 won-lost mark, pitched in 30 relief appearances and rung up 18 saves. He has a 4.06 ERA and has allowed 26 hits over his 31 innings of work, struck out 25 batters and walked 13. |
