Deal: Milligan for Kunkel Monday, July 31st, 1995 The Pirates and the Yankees finalized a deal this afternoon. Pittsburgh has traded for 29-year-old RF Eddie Zambrano and 33-year-old CF Jeff Kunkel and in return New York will receive 33-year-old 1B Randy Milligan, 27-year-old minor league CF Ryan Thompson and 30-year-old minor league LF Jerome Walton. This year Milligan has hit at a .000 clip with no hits, no home runs, 1 RBIs and 3 runs scored. So far this season Kunkel is hitting .210 with 10 home runs, 44 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has 81 hits in 385 at-bats and a .257 OBP. |
