Boggs Gets Number 2500

It was a banner day for Wade Boggs, who collected his 2500th hit in the Texas 5-3 win over Kansas City. Boggs went 1-for-5 in the game as both Rangers and Royals fans cheered Boggs when he reached base after his hit.
"It feels great to get #2500," Boggs said afterward, "especially since we won the game."
Boggs has put up a career batting average of .305 with 2500 hits, 111 homers and 945 RBIs.
