Nabholz Spins Shutout Against White Sox
Saturday, August 5th, 1995
Today was Chris Nabholz's turn in the rotation for the Pittsburgh Pirates and he made the most of it, shutting out the Chicago White Sox on 5 hits.
The 28-year-old left-hander led the Pirates to an easy 8-0 victory, allowing 3 walks and tallying 5 strikeouts.
"I hope we miss him next time," Chicago manager Tyler Vuxta said. "Nabholz certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
In 24 starts this season Nabholz has crafted a 13-4 record with a 3.11 ERA.
