Monday, September 5th, 1994
Pitchers who faced the Washington Senators last week were happy to see Rafael Palmeiro in the rear-view mirror. The 29-year-old first baseman was dubbed the United League Player of the Week for a 6-game tear that saw him hit at a .455 clip.
For the week he also chalked up 10 hits in 22 at-bats, 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
In the current season, Palmeiro has put up a .302 batting average with 160 hits, 33 home runs, 86 RBI and scored 87 runs.
