Texas Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Wednesday, September 7th, 1994 The playoff hopes of the Texas Rangers -- which were already faint at best -- are now completely extinguished. The team will miss the playoffs this year, being mathematically eliminated from contention today. Texas last appeared in the postseason in 1982. This is their 12th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 13 times in their 18-year history. |
