Nagy Befuddles Baltimore
Monday, September 19th, 1994
Charles Nagy of the Montreal Expos spun his magic on the Baltimore Orioles today. He blanked them 6-0 on 3 hits, registering 4 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Nagy said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."
Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Montreal skipper David Polakoff said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."
"Charles pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.
For the season Nagy has compiled a 11-13 record with a 4.92 ERA.
