Chicago Clinches Wild Card
Tuesday, September 20th, 1994
Champagne was flowing freely in the Chicago Cubs clubhouse as the team celebrated a Federal League wild card berth.
"We didn't win the division like we wanted to, but I'm still smiling," said starting pitcher Eric King. "In the end, we've still got a chance to win the World Series and that's the important thing."
The club has a 92-64 record and will be seeking the 2nd Doubleday Baseball League championship in team history.
