Postseason Bid Ends for New York

The New York Mets put up a good fight in the 1994 playoff chase, but ultimately were missing a few ingredients needed to get there. Today, the club was officially eliminated from contention.
Before this season, the Mets last missed the playoffs in 1992. In the 18 years they have been a Doubleday Baseball League franchise, they have missed the playoffs 12 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs 9 times.
