Monday, September 26th, 1994
Many talented Doubleday Baseball League players can go their entire careers and never even get a sniff of a batting title.
Carl Everett has already captured one at age 23.
The Atlanta left fielder batted .318 to capture the 1994 Federal League batting championship.
He collected 162 hits, 32 doubles, 2 triples and 48 home runs for the year. In 130 games Everett totaled 117 RBIs and scored 120 runs.
