Griffey Jr. of Seattle Earns UL Batting Crown

He may only be 24 years old, but Ken Griffey Jr. has already established himself as an elite Doubleday Baseball League player.
The Seattle Pilots star posted a .298 batting average this year, which won him the United League batting crown.
"I can't even believe it, to be honest," he told Baseball News Network.
His fantastic campaign consisted of 185 hits, 26 doubles, 2 triples and 56 home runs for the year. In 157 games Griffey Jr. added 119 RBIs and scored 121 runs.
