Griffey Jr. Goes Yard 3 Times

Seattle Pilots bombardier Ken Griffey Jr. set his sights on the stands and blasted three balls over the fence as his club took a 11-4 win over the Colorado Rockies today.
"I guess you could say I was a good guesser today, especially on the last one," Griffey Jr. told writers in the postgame press room. "I was ahead in the count, so I gambled that I'd get a certain pitch, and got all of it."
For the game, the Seattle center fielder had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 5, and scored 3 runs.
Ken Griffey Jr. flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Al Leiter in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Al Leiter in the 7th, struck out in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Rich Garces in the 9th.
