San Diego Padres Ship Machado to Kansas City

In a hastily called press conference, San Diego announced today a trade with Kansas City that will send 29-year-old minor league RHP Julio Machado to the Royals in exchange for nothing. All players are expected to be in their respective new cities in time for today's games.
During his career Machado has appeared in 105 games, logging 133 innings with 151 strikeouts. He has carved out a 4.40 ERA with 5 wins and 4 losses and posted 11 saves.
