Brede Belts Bunch of Base Hits Monday, May 12th, 1997 Players get multi-hit games all the time, but 5-hit games are something else entirely. Brent Brede walloped 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Colorado Springs Sky Fox in a career day at Ballpark of Louisville today, but it was the Tucson Tarantulas who won the ballgame, 6-2. "My swing was really, really there today," Brede said afterward. "I made some good, solid contact and when that happens, good things happen. And hey, 5-for-5 and losing is better than 0-for-5 and losing, right?" Brent Brede singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
