Tarantulas Chill Brogna's Hot Streak Thursday, May 22nd, 1997 The 22-game hitting streak of Rico Brogna has come to an end. The Idaho Falls Chukars first baseman went 0-for-5 today in his team's 9-5 loss to the Tucson Tarantulas at Alleycats Ballpark. "It's not just Rico who came up short today," Chukars manager said in his postgame press conference. "This was a team loss." In 49 games this year Brogna has posted a .384 average and put up these numbers: 10 home runs, 45 RBIs and 42 runs scored. |
