Beech Holds Bisons Scoreless Thursday, May 22nd, 1997 Matt Beech of the Asheville Moonshiners humiliated the Buffalo Bisons at Torrance Grounds today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 8 hits. "He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Buffalo manager , after the game. Beech whiffed 5 and walked 1 in the 2-0 win. "If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Beech said. "I was making good pitches the entire game." This year Beech has gone 4-4 with an ERA of 5.12 and has 67 strikeouts in 65 innings.
