Bell's Strong Week Earns PAC Trophy Monday, May 26th, 1997 24-year-old David Bell made a few Naperville headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Pacific officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .565 average. Bell collected 1 home run, 9 RBIs and scored 5 runs. So far this season Bell has 6 home runs and a .267 batting average. |
