Ochoa Sizzles with 31-Game Batting Streak Tuesday, May 27th, 1997 Alex Ochoa went 1-for-5 in the 4-3 Hartford Whalers victory over the Ocean City Blue Crabs at Fire Dogs Ballpark today. Ochoa declined to speak to reporters following the game. He extended his hitting streak to 31 games. Alex Ochoa doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, grounded out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. This season Ochoa has banged out 93 hits in 235 at-bats for a .396 average with 15 home runs. He is getting on base at a .442 pace and his totals also include 64 RBIs and 71 runs scored. |
