Otero Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, April 19th, 1995 Ricky Otero of the Jacksonville Suns tagged 1 hit in today's 9-8 loss to the Brooklyn Cyclones at Ballpark of Fremont to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Ricky Otero struck out in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Otero is currently hitting at a .365 pace with 1 home run and 9 RBIs. |
