Dairy Daddies End Otero's Streak
Thursday, April 20th, 1995
The Danville Dairy Daddies pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Ricky Otero hitless in 5 at-bats during the club's 6-4 victory over the Jacksonville Suns at Field of the Running Rebels. The disappointing performance ended a 20-game hitting streak for the center fielder.
"I'm a little down right now," Otero said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too."
This season Otero is hitting .347 with 35 hits, 1 home run, 9 RBIs, scored 23 runs and played in 23 games.
