Green's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Saturday, April 29th, 1995 David Green collected 4 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Brooklyn Cyclones, beat the Southeast Slammers 12-3. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Green quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." David Green singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. For the season Green is currently batting .340 with 6 home runs and 17 RBIs. In 30 games he has reached base at a .359 rate and scored 27 runs to date. |
