Nied Twirls Swamp Foxes to Shutout Victory

David Nied of the Savannah Swamp Foxes humiliated the Bluff City Beasties at Paradise Grounds today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 7 hits.
"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Bluff City manager , after the game.
Nied whiffed 11 and walked 0 in the 9-0 win.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Nied said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
Presently Nied has a 6-1 mark in 9 starts with a 3.43 ERA. He has given up 74 hits in 76 innings, struck out 62 and issued 10 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .247 batting average against him.
