Whalers End Brown's Streak Monday, June 23rd, 1997 Brant Brown of the Danville Dairy Daddies came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats for the first time in 26 games. Making matters even worse for the left fielder, Danville dropped the game to the Hartford Whalers 1-0. "It was not a good day today," Brown told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over." So far this year, Brown is batting .299 with 20 home runs and 81 RBIs. |
