Bautista Bashes 5 Base Hits Wednesday, June 25th, 1997 It was a great day at the plate for Danny Bautista. For his Nashville Sounds, the day was not nearly as good. The center fielder collected 5 hits in 5 tries, but his club still came up short in the win column. The Portland Stag snatched the victory, topping the Sounds by a score of 7-4. "Well that wasn't how it was supposed to end," Bautista said later. "I'll just have to do it again and get it right." Danny Bautista doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
