Lowery Atlantic's Hottest Hitter Monday, June 30th, 1997 26-year-old Terrell Lowery made a few Rochester headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Atlantic officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 24 at-bats to put up a .542 average. Lowery collected 1 home run, 3 RBIs and scored 8 runs. This year Lowery has hit 9 home runs and posted a .334 batting average. |
