Barberie Wins PAC Player of the Week Monday, June 30th, 1997 At the age of 29, Bret Barberie might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Portland shortstop put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .464 batting average. For his efforts Barberie collected the Pacific Player of the Week Award.
