Danville Shut Out by Hershiser Friday, July 4th, 1997 The Asheville Moonshiners rolled to an easy 7-0 win over the Danville Dairy Daddies at Kernels Ballpark today. Leading the way to victory was starter Orel Hershiser, who shackled the Danville Dairy Daddies and held them scoreless on a 3-hitter. "This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Hershiser said in his postgame press conference. So far this year Hershiser has a 5-8 record with a 6.20 ERA.
