Dairy Daddies End Green's Streak
Wednesday, May 3rd, 1995
The Danville Dairy Daddies pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting David Green hitless in 5 at-bats during the club's 9-6 victory over the Brooklyn Cyclones at Ballpark of Fremont. The disappointing performance ended a 23-game hitting streak for the left fielder.
"I'm a little down right now," Green said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too."
Green is batting .335 this season in 34 games with 7 home runs, 20 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has 56 hits in 167 at-bats.
