Torres Tames Swamp Foxes Friday, May 5th, 1995 Today was Salomon Torres's turn in the rotation for the Asheville Moonshiners and he made the most of it, shutting out the Savannah Swamp Foxes on 6 hits. The 23-year-old right-hander led the Moonshiners to an easy 8-0 victory, allowing 3 walks and tallying 7 strikeouts. "I hope we miss him next time," Savannah manager said. "Torres certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
