Sounds Come up Short of Playoffs Saturday, August 9th, 1997 The bid by the Nashville Sounds for a postseason berth came to a close today. The club has been mathematically eliminated from the 1997 playoffs, and team manager said players on the team "are taking it hard." This is the 1st time in a row that the Sounds have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 1996. |
