Monday, August 11th, 1997
Pat F. Kelly continued his streak at Fire Dogs Ballpark today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Ocean City second baseman was 2-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 25 games. The Blue Crabs were not as fortunate, losing 17-2 to the Hartford Whalers.
"Kelly was hitting everything we threw at him," said Hartford manager . "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Pat F. Kelly grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.
This season Kelly has delivered 124 hits in 357 at-bats for a .347 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .402 clip and his totals also include 36 RBIs and 76 runs scored. This year Kelly has played in 88 games.
