Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Clark
Saturday, May 13th, 1995
Phil B. Clark's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Omaha first baseman smacked 1 hit against the Portland Stag in today's game at Maples Stadium, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Storm Chasers drop the game, 8-3.
"I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Phil B. Clark struck out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This year Clark is hitting .359 with 70 hits, 12 home runs, 41 RBIs and has scored 39 runs.
