Clark Goes Hitless, Streak Stopped at 22 Tuesday, May 16th, 1995 The Colorado Springs Sky Fox clamped down on Phil B. Clark and put a stop to his hit streak. He went without a hit, ending the run at 22 straight games, but it didn't keep the Storm Chasers from winning. Omaha downed the Sky Fox 7-0. "It was bound to happen," Clark said with a shrug after the game. In 47 games this season Clark has batted at a .353 pace with 73 hits and 12 home runs. |
