Goodwin's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games
Wednesday, May 17th, 1995
The Colorado Springs Sky Fox may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 10-5 to the Omaha Storm Chasers, but Curtis Goodwin continued to hit like a god.
The center fielder collected 1 hit in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"Goodwin is playing great and is on fire right now," Sky Fox manager said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Goodwin was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Curtis Goodwin singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and grounded out in the 9th.
This season Goodwin has hit 2 home runs and posted a .268 batting average.
