Hyers Gets 5 Hits Saturday, June 24th, 1995 Tacoma Rainiers left fielder Tim Hyers banged out 5 hits today, but it was not enough to keep his club from succumbing to the San Antonio Missions, 15-7. He went 5-for-5 and raised his batting average a few points. "If the hits keep coming," an upbeat Hyers said after the game, "the runs will too. And, more importantly, so will the wins." Tim Hyers singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
