Suns End Smith's Streak Monday, July 10th, 1995 Mark E Smith's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 21 games today as the Savannah Swamp Foxes dropped their contest with the Jacksonville Suns 5-0 at Paradise Grounds. Smith failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-3. After the game Smith spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said. This year Smith is batting .305 with 65 hits, 9 home runs, 37 RBIs, 33 walks, .399 OBP and has scored 37 runs. |
