3B Shave Given 2-Game Suspension Tuesday, July 11th, 1995 Jon Shave of the Southeast Slammers has been suspended 2 games by the league for his prolonged argument with the home plate umpire during the game with Brooklyn at Ravens Ballpark. The 27-year-old third baseman angrily protested being called out on strikes and wouldn't leave the field after his ejection. It took two coaches and his manager to physically remove the hostile Shave from the field. This season Shave is batting .304 with 5 home runs. |
