Hitting Streak Still Alive for Walton

Hartford lost to the Buffalo Bisons 8-1 at Aspinwall Grounds today, but Jerome Walton kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Whalers left fielder has now delivered hits in 20 straight games.
"Jerome has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Hartford manager told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Jerome Walton hit a solo-shot off Brad Radke in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th.
Walton is batting .395 with 2 home runs and 21 RBIs this season.
