Portland Stag Clinch First in Pacific West Wednesday, July 26th, 1995 The Portland Stag are the class of the Pacific West. With their record sitting at 71-39, the club officially captured the division title today for the 1st time. "Every guy in the room has worked towards this goal all year long," said the club's manager. "I'm proud to call this my team." The club will now go in search of their 1st Hugg Baseball League championship. "It's not going to be easy, but winning the World Series is our ultimate goal," said reliever Scott Watkins. |
